Celebrating Matilda’s Grand Final Success

We’re incredibly proud to celebrate the fantastic achievement of Matilda, daughter of our Welding Supervisor, Chris, who has had an amazing season with the Thatto Heath Crusaders ARLFC Under 14s Girls.

The team won the Premier League Division Grand Final with a fantastic 28-12 victory, finishing the season unbeaten. Matilda also scored a try in the final, making it an extra special moment for her, her family and all of us at 5750 Components.

We’ve been proud to sponsor Matilda this season and, ahead of the final, some of our team sent her good luck video messages. It was lovely to be able to show our support and she really appreciated the messages.

A huge congratulations to Matilda and the whole team. We’ll be cheering them on as they start their cup run this week, with hopes of completing the double!

As part of WEC Group, supporting our people and our local communities is something that matters to us. Over the years, we’ve supported causes including Prostate Cancer UK, Bleakholt Animal Sanctuary, Blackburn with Darwen Youth Zone and Dementia UK. We also take part in Wear It Pink every year to raise money for breast cancer charities.
