News: In-House Laser Cutting and Fabrication for Mezzanine Platform

A recent example is the above bespoke mezzanine platform, where our skilled team completed the laser cutting both flat bed and tube and full fabrication entirely on site. Every component was produced with precision and attention to detail, ensuring a robust and accurate metal structure. The platform is now ready for galvanising before its final installation.

By handling all stages of production in-house, from cutting and forming to welding and assembly, we can maintain tight quality control while minimising lead times. This project highlights not only the technical skill of our team but also the efficiency and flexibility that comes from having integrated manufacturing facilities.

We provide an extensive range of subcontract engineering services, working with aluminium, mild steel, and stainless steel. We have the capability to laser cut sheet sizes up to 4m x 2m and sheet thicknesses up to 25mm. Our press brakes can bend steel up to 4.27m in length, allowing us to handle large and complex components with ease. From our Merseyside facilities, our sheet metal capabilities include in-house laser cutting, pressing, welding, and fabrication, while within the wider WEC Group we can also offer finishing services such as wet painting and powder coating.
