WEC GROUP ACQUIRE NUTTER AIRCRAFTS LIMITED
WEC Group Limited a Darwen based Engineering Group has acquired Nutter Aircrafts Ltd based in Blackburn, Lancashire.
Nutter Aircrafts Ltd was established in 1939 by Bertie Nutter originally building his own aircraft and has grown under its current management to be a leading supplier of high quality precision machined parts to a wide variety of industries. WEC Group has purchased the Company employing 18 staff to complement its existing machining facility Hi-Spec CNC.
Nutter Aircrafts Ltd will continue to be run by its existing management team who will ensure that the change of ownership is totally seamless to all customers

At an awards night held at Blackburn Rovers we were awarded the premier prize. There were 117 entries for this category so we are especially honoured to have won.

WEC GROUP ACQUIRE 5750 COMPONENTS
WEC Group Ltd, a Darwen-based engineering firm, has acquired 5750 Components Ltd, based in Knowsley, Liverpool.
5750 Components Ltd was established nearly 15 years ago as one of the first laser cutting companies in the UK and employs 20 staff. WEC Group has purchased the company as a going concern to support their own laser division, Laser Engineering in Darwen.
‘This is an exciting time for the Group,’ explains Wayne Wild, Director and General Manager for Laser Engineering. ‘The purchase of the company supports the Group’s expansion strategy which includes the introduction of a new 26,500 purpose-built facility on Junction Street in Darwen.’
Due for completion in the coming months, the new site will house the Laser Engineering division of the Company and will enable the other divisions of the Group to expand into existing facilities.
A positive move for the North West, the strategic partnership between WEC Group and 5750 Components will assist in expanding the service offering of both companies within their own regions, UK and internationally.
